ecorpStim (eCORP Stimulation Technologies, LLC) is a subsidiary of eCORP that was created in 2012 to develop alternative technologies to hydraulic fracturing, using no water and no chemical additives. The stimulation fluids used in ecorpStim technologies are composed of naturally occurring components of natural gas, propane or other light alkanes, or of a fluorinated version of propane, in combination with low density proppants.
To develop these breakthrough technologies, the company relies on:
Its deep knowledge of the use of propane and its perfect safety record of using propane stimulation technologies in projects of all kinds. eCORP was for example a pioneer in the 1980s for using propane and propane-butane mix in enhanced oil recovery (E.O.R) operations.
The key learnings from the industrial use of a gelled propane stimulation technology (2.400 fracs over 700 locations in Canada and in the US).
An ambitious research and development program carried out in collaboration with prestigious universities and companies in the US and in Europe (Read more about the ecorpStim Research Consortium).
ecorpStim headquarters are located in Houston, Texas, with offices in Paris, London and Zurich.
